Our Team At Soni Dental
Here at Soni Dental we have two Dentists, Dr.Pravin Soni and Dr.Sunil Rajdev who, between them, have more than 66 years of experience. Both are very professional and approachable and will help you with your dental needs. They both work as part of a great team of people who all contribute their unique knowledge to provide you with a holistic, complete and wholesome dental experience.
Dr. Pravin Soni
Dr. Pravin Soni was born in South Africa and migrated to Australia in 1989. He first completed his undergraduate degree in 1981 with a bachelors and honours in 1992 from the University of QLD.
He has worked as a lecturer and clinical supervisor at the dental hospital at University of Kwazulu-Natal in South Africa.
He founded Soni Dental in 1994 and has since taken a keen interest in the overall experiences of patients for quality care. He has a special interest in prevention and treatment of gum disease and cosmetic (mercury free) dentistry.
With over two decades in the same practice, Pravin has earned the trust and confidence of his patients, developing personal friendships with many of them. Due in part to his caring and patient nature which comforts as well as provides quality dental care.
Pravin Soni is also a member of Australian Dental Association (ADA) and is a registered to the national Australian Health Practitioner Registration Association (AHPRA).
Pravin’s other interests include - meditation and spiritual development, regular exercising and keeping a healthy diet, reading, music and spending quality time with his family.

Dr. Sunil Rajdev

Dr. Sunil completed his undergraduate studies in 1982 and continued onto completing a Masters degree in Periodontics as well as other post-graduate studies in Periodontics, Oral Medicine and Orthodontics.
He was also a part-time lecturer in Periodontology for 11 years at the University of Kwazulu-Natal in South Africa. He immigrated to Australia with his family from South Africa in January 2007.
His passion lies in Gum Diseases and treating dental conditions with the entirety of the mouth and body in consideration. He believes that dentistry is more than just a scientific pursuit of judgement, intuition and technique, but rather a hybrid of art and science; Blending the two distinctions to create healthy smiles that achieve an aesthetically pleasing as well as functional result.
He is a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA) and Australian Society of Conservative Implant Dentistry (ASCID) and is a registered Dental Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Outside of the dental office, Sunil spends most of his time with his lovely wife and children. He is an avid gardener, a keen golfer, likes challenges doing crossword puzzles, tries to be a regular at his local gym and loves watching all sports.
Casey - Practice Coordinator
Casey joined Soni Dental in late 2019. Casey began working in the dental industry as a dental assistant in 1998. In 2005 Casey moved to Adelaide and continued to work in dental and studied Dental Hygiene. Casey moved back to Brisbane in July 2011 and worked as a dental hygienist.
Casey has a young daughter and both are involved in Scouts Australia. Casey enjoys cake decorating, creating photobooks, theatre (watching, not acting) and camping.

Pathma - Receptionist and Dental Assistant
Pathma has been in the dental field since 1983 in Malaysia and South Africa. She immigrated with her family from South Africa to Australia in 2007. Pathma works as the receptionist and dental assistant to relieve our regular staff. She loves interacting with people. She enjoys cooking and is a regular at her local gym.
Mark - Dental Assistant
Mark is an experienced dental assistant and joined Soni Dental in late 2013. He enjoys working in our friendly practice and helps to maintain a positive, fun environment.
He has a degree in Applied Science and an interest in genetics, anthropology and other scientific topics. He is a self-confessed science fiction fan.

Deepika - Dental Assistant
Deepika joined Soni Dental in October 2018.
Deepika was born, raised, studied and worked in India in the dental industry for 8 years.
She moved to Australia in 2016 to Perth initially before moving to Brisbane shortly after. She started working as a Dental Assistant in Australia in 2017.
Deepika has a keen interest in dentistry and enjoys chairside assisting. She has a habit of reading and keeping up with new research that gets released relating to dentistry.
In her free time, Deepika loves to play badminton, going to the gym and is a passionate reader.

Samita - Dental Assistant
Samita has been working as a dental assistant at Soni Dental since 2017.
Samita has over four years of experience with chairside dental assisting. She is very motivated and confident.
During her free time she loves to read, listening to music and she is blessed with two sons. She loves to spend time with her family.
